Ladies I'm here for you. I will be your walking partner. Walk and Talk sessions are exactly what it says. We walk and talk...TOGETHER. Walking is a great low impact way to exercise. It's a great place to start for many people in regards to exercising. Sometimes the thought of exercising and where to begin can be very overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. I'm here to help you get started and remain consistent.
Ladies I have to be honest with you. Even as a nurse, I have my own health issues. My doctor has been on me to lose weight for years and to become more active. My excuse was-- "I don't have the time and I'm super busy" (sound familiar?). Being a mom of 2, wife to 1, full-time job, caregiver to 5 family members, and wearing some hats I'm probably forgetting, I honestly really didn't have the time, BUT I always knew I needed to MAKE the time. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure out of no where in Spring 2017. I finally decided late Spring 2018 that I had to make a change so a local trainer advertising his services in a Facebook group we were apart of came across my timeline and I joined his small group sessions 2-3 days/week. I started feeling better in my abilities after a few weeks of consistent training that I decided to step my game up and in June 2018 I challenged myself to do some sort of activity DAILY. For me it wasn't about "losing weight". I knew the weight would come off automatically. I just wanted to start increasing my activity and stay consistent. Consistency was my problem and I have learned it is the key to making a lifestyle change. I've found that my favorite activity is walking. I love walking at my area parks and when time doesn't allow me to get there I take a good long walk in my own neighborhood (even if it's 8pm). It's time for me to think or listen to music or catch up on a podcast. Walking is now part of my life and daily routine. If I can do it then I know for sure you can. You just have to start so let's do it together! Your health is important and your family needs you so let's get started. Let's make it so when you go back to the doctor's office the doctor is going to look surprised and tell you "whatever your doing...keep it up!". That's what my doctor said to me and it was a great feeling to know that I was finally on the right path. Contact me to arrange a discovery call so we can discuss your needs.
One of the parks I love to have my Walk and Talk sessions in. Beautiful scenery!

Walk and Talk sessions will be completed outdoors starting in the Spring and ending in the Fall.
For in-person one-on-one sessions, I come to your location (home/work/park/mall/track) and walk with you(one-on-one). We go at your pace and we take breaks as needed. Remember my purpose is to be that motivation and accountability partner you need to get you out the house and get started on your healthy journey.
Weather: Well I have my rain coat and umbrella so I'm ready to go if you are, BUT if the weather truly isn't conducive to walking outdoors (rain, snow, ice, extreme cold/heat) then we just adjust and reschedule for another day.
An initial health questionnaire is completed before we start your Walk and Talk sessions
There will also be health coaching on our walks. We will talk about your health, fitness, and diet along with other topics that may be weighing on your mind. Health is not just about the physical. It's the mind, body, and soul.
